Our editorial standards

We cite every health claim

Every factual claim about a supplement, ingredient, or medication is tied to a source — usually a peer-reviewed study or meta-analysis — listed at the bottom of the article. If we can't source a claim, we don't make it.

We grade the strength of evidence

Not all evidence is equal. We label claims as strong, moderate, weak, preliminary, or unproven, so you can see the difference between a well-replicated finding and a single animal study. Where human outcome data doesn't exist, we say so plainly rather than implying it does.

We don't make drug-equivalency claims

We never describe a supplement as working “like Ozempic,” as “FDA approved,” or as a guaranteed treatment. Natural options and prescription GLP-1 drugs are different things with very different evidence and effect sizes, and we present them that way.

We disclose how we earn

Some links on this site are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you if you buy through them. This never changes what the evidence says or how we grade it. See our full affiliate disclosure.

We keep content current

Each article shows a “last updated” date. When new evidence changes the picture, we revise the article and the date rather than leaving stale claims in place.

This is not medical advice

Our content is educational. Supplements discussed here are not FDA-approved medications, results vary between people, and nothing on this site should replace a conversation with a qualified healthcare professional.

Who writes and reviews this site? Our articles are written by our editorial team and, where noted, reviewed by qualified professionals. Author and reviewer credentials appear on each article and are linked to verifiable profiles.
